At The Modern Dog Company, we believe dogs are more than pets—they're family.

Our story began in 2017 when founder Dani noticed a gap in the pet industry. Finding stylish, high-quality dog accessories at an affordable price felt nearly impossible. The options were either basic pet store products that lacked personality or boutique items with premium price tags that weren't practical for everyday dog owners.

Inspired by her own dog, Stella, Dani set out to create a brand that offered the perfect balance of style, quality, and value. What started as an idea quickly grew into a passion-driven business dedicated to helping pet parents spoil their furry family members without breaking the bank.

Since opening our first retail location in West Nashville in March 2022, we've been fortunate to become part of an incredible community of dog lovers. In October 2024, we expanded with a second location in East Nashville, allowing us to serve even more pets and their people across Middle Tennessee.

Today, The Modern Dog Company is continuing to grow. We are currently preparing to open a full-service grooming salon next to our East Nashville store, and we're excited to launch our third location in 2026, with plans to begin serving customers there in August.

As we grow, our mission remains the same: to provide thoughtfully curated products, exceptional service, and a welcoming space where dogs and their humans feel right at home. We are committed to building lasting relationships with our customers and creating a community that celebrates the special bond between people and their pets.
